Updates and thoughts.

Hmm. I haven't been in here for quite awhile have I? Let's make a deal. I'll try to blog about little stuff that I think of daily. Like I said, I'm not the fashionista nor the food critic. But I'll try to just share my thoughts and a little tip of my life.

So updates first, I'm currently studying at ATC. Doing law under the University of London programme. So far it's been fun, some inevitable boring classes here and there but overall it's good. The people here are like one huge family. The workload is starting to sink in. I feel like I haven't done enough, or rather, haven't done ANYTHING at all.

Update #2
Been shuffling around my room furniture, still won't be taking any pics because it still looks like a dump. Waiting for a chance to head to IKEA to get a new bookcase and some bits and pieces. ;)

So a new segment in this blog would be my daily experiences and thoughts.

Today I witnessed a brothel raid nearby my college, well, the final clean up of a raid that is. The prostitutes have left by the time me and Mei Xian managed to get there, so the gist of the entire action we missed out. While I was on the LRT en route to my bf's college to wait for his classes to end before heading home, I met with an old lady, who was telling me how she was on the way to the 九王爺 festival in Ampang. She said this festival lasts for 9 days and on the first day the god is invited down and on the last the god is sent back. She started praying to this god since about a good 20-30 years back, and since the god gave her peace she decided to continue anyways. Then somehow the topic shifted to promises, with that being said she persists that promises should be kept. And when people would go to all ends to be a vegetarian for every 初一十五, she simply believes that 隨緣is the way to go. She believes this is so as well for our search for our significant half and most of everything else. The conversation needed with her telling the story of how a girl killed herself for love simply because a promise was broken and that she couldn't marry the guy she said she would someday marry.

As for my thoughts, prostitutes are mostly deemed as people who are filthy in out society, some even feel they're like parasites or even microorganisms. I have to admit even I myself feel a little shivery whenever I see prostitutes on the side of the street when Panda drives past pudu. To me I guess even if I feel somewhat revolted of the idea of selling my own body sexually to earn money, I have to respect the fact that these people are actually doing it to earn a living, and they are not begging for money, they are not stealing, they are not doing anything to harm the society. They are simply just pushed to a desperate point whereby selling themselves is the only means of making money without having to resort to criminal acts. The filthy condition of the brothels were beyond bearable, the cushions and mattresses were mouldy and worn out. Dim surroundings, neon pink lights. It seemed like the scene in Taken, but this was real. The poor young girls have to endure these surroundings on a daily basis and I guess to them it's like a never ending circle they can never get out of.

And as for the old lady's words, it struck me so suddenly. When peace was mentioned, I immediately realize that a lot of people seek peace in religion. All these years I go to church, I get peace of mind as well. But I know I am bound to be put through obstacles and have to possibly go through a lot of trials and tribulations. Because I know that it is part and parcel of Christianity. We are always supposed to step out of the comfort zone and into the spiritual battle zone. Whilst we are certain we will face hard times, we are at the same time assured that God will help us through it. And again I will say, I absolutely do not believe that anyone should take their own lives just because someone dumped you. You're supposed to pick your ass back up and keep on moving and make whatever your parents spend on you worthwhile. How unfair is it of you to choose death and the rest of your close friends and relatives and family members have to suffer loss as well. Please appreciate your lives k people.

Oh well, I guess that's all for now.
Till the next daily thought. ;)

Updates.

Well hello! I haven't said anything in a long time now have I? Hopefully this can be long. LOL. I guess I owe this blog that much.

So I've been busy working recently, times that I don't work I end up sleeping. So hence the blog deserting. Let's start with movies. Since I am working and panda is working as well, we only had time to watch one movie all these while since Wolverine, and we decided to watch..
...
..
..
...

THE CONJURING

Mother of goodness knows what, this nonsense scared the living dead outta me. I am not going to hover on the details, but the fact that it is "Based On a True Story" doesn't make it any better. But a good scare nevertheless. A good scare won't harm once in a while. HAHA.

That's the haunted house. In case you're wondering or whatever thoughts came into your mind.

So that's the movie part. Now how about some food?
Panda and I came to an agreement, and that is to indulge in an expensive restaurant once every month. Well "expensive" would be things we don't normally eat, we usually LIVE on Chilli Pan Mee. So this month we went to Madam Kwan's. Panda has been going on about how he wants to try the Nasi Lemak there, so off we went. I usually go there with my family, and since I don't take spicy food I had the Fish & Chips. And Banana Fritters for dessert after. *dies*

Panda's Nasi Lemak

My Fish and Chips

Banana Fritters with Vanilla Ice Cream.

And for our comments, now Panda is a spicy fan, he goes nuts with spicy. So the Nasi Lemak wasn't too much in alignment with his taste buds because it's more to sweet spicy, not spicy spicy. But for me on the other hand, sweet spicy I eat. I love sweet spicy foods. *grin* As for my Fish & Chips, nope, I didn't like it that much, could be because of the fish. Didn't really like the taste of it. The Banana Fritters? That was heavenly. What was the "most-expensive-dish-considering-the-size" now is worth the most among our dishes. HAHA.

Madam Kwan herself was there too! She was super the nice man. But very very strict with her staff. She came and pat me on the back. Scared me a little. LOL. Kinda forgot to ask for a picture together. Damn. I saw JinnyBoy, Joseph Germani too, and I forgot to ask for a picture. Oh Wells. :(

Now food is done, movie's done. What else? OH. This baby. I finally got my camera, it's the Samsung NX 300. My God I love this camera. It's so idiot proof I can die. I am an absolute idiot when it comes to photography, don't judge. LOL. Here are a few pics of the camera. I haven't actually taken it out for a spin yet, so no quality shots for now. HEHE. Here it is!

The front.

The Back.

Looks like super pro. So happy can die. HAHAHAHA. Hopefully I get lotsa pics when I go on a Melacca one day trip with the girls this Saturday. (Y)

Last but not least, well this is a sad section of the post. Got back my A Levels results, I wasn't happy and I wasn't sad, mostly because I'm not going to the UK anymore due to financial problems, I is not wiaotee thankkiew. Well what was that. ._. Waiotee=wealthy. Ah, sad story away. So I'll be embarking on my Degree life soon. Fingers croseed. :)

Till the next time. ;)

Wolverine & Two Fathers.

Well hello there, I haven't updated in quite a few days. So here's me updating you about stuff I've watched recently. Well stuff, since one of it was a movie and another's a drama series.

Let's start with the Wolverine.

Now before I proceed, you must know that I am more or less a movie idiot, I don't know which is good and which is bad. In easier words, I am rather easy to please, sadly. Let's see, I think I can tell a "good" movie from a "bad" movie. It all depends on my attention span, a "Good" movie can keep me glued to my chair the whole time. "So-so" would mean I am halfway interested then I'm fidgety, otherwise most of the time glued. "Bad" would be the ones causing me to be fidgety throughout the whole movie.

So far I've only rated a movie "Shit" which was Skyline. Nonsense movie, a waste of my RM11. I remembered going to watch that movie with my high school friends, and we were all like "Eww shit, wtf was that?!". So yeah, that's a "shit" movie.

Anyhoo, back to the Wolverine, I got the premiere tickets to watch it. Won it from a Seventeen mag competition. Teehee. Four tix, so me, panda, bro and Pyee went. Before I watched the movie I haven't watched the trailer at all. So here is the trailer I watched after the movie:

I don't think I should give out any more spoilers, I have this bad habit of spoiling movies, I'm so sorry. T_T

Overall it's a good movie, but please please do stay behind when the credits are rolling, there's a little snippet in the end, don't miss out on that! :D

As for the drama, it's called Two Fathers, and it's from Taiwan. So when I stumbled onto this movie on Funshion, I thought 'WAO, Taiwan became so open minded they allowed gay shows?'. Then nope, turns out the two fathers are straighter than a pencil. Not going to spoil stuff, you all should go watch it yourselves.

Overall I like the theme of the drama, the family ties between them and all. But I gotta say the ending reeks. Sigh. What kind of ending was that wtf? I didn't even know what was going on.

So BOO for the ending, YAY for overall. :D

Very brief update. I don't dare elaborate in case I give anything away. Please don't shoot me. *sobs*

Till the next time. ;)

The Minion Craze.

We all love the minions, they're just frickin' adorable and lovable and just plain adorable.

In case you've been living under a huge rock and finally decided to crawl out and dramatically mimic the "What year is it?" meme, here's a pic of how these fellers look like:

Aren't they adorable?! T_T

Anyhoo, the minion craze is so addictive it got to the adults too, and when minion figurines were part of McDonald's Happy Meal Set, the world went bonkers and would queue for hours just to get one of these little suckers.

I myself got one, but I didn't mange to get the yellow ones, I got a purple one. (These are minions who are shot with a dose of chemicals and turned evil, aka Evil Minions), they look like this:
This is the feller I got. Poor thing. He looks so bored.

Before you curse me to the depths of hell for "snatching" a toy from the kids,
I DID NOT SNATCH, KILL, STEAL, TEAR DOWN MCD OR QUEUE FOR HOURS IN THE UNGODLY HOURS.
I merely coincidentally bought it because there were some remaining. I went to McD before French class and saw the purple one was still on sale and I just bought it, so there, it was an absolute coincidence. Case closed.

But honestly people, adults, the minions came from a movie called "Despicable Me" that honestly does not give you the right to be despicable yourselves, you want to get some minions to relive your childhood? SURE. By all means, but to buy them then resell it for a higher price? That's being a total asshole and I am putting it VERY mildly here. Also, what the heck did McDs do to you till the extend that you have to tear down the store just to get the toys?

Look at that, so SHAMEFUL. Why would you do that?!

When you guys get to see this I'll be a Pavilion working. TEEHEE. :D I hope I set the time correctly. ._.

Till the next time. ;)

FOOD DAY!

Okay, so I spend a lot of time with Mr Lee. That's the boyfriend. Let's just call him panda, that's what I call him. My Panda. :)

Anyhoo, we usual hang around in either his or my house and watch movies or just take a nap and we might go out for dinner when our moms didn't cook. And so on. We usually live on Chilli Pan Mee from Connaught for lunch and mamak for dinner. We both are more or less broke most of the time. XD Which explains my figure. So sad can die.

Today was a little special, he came to Bangsar with me. (I have French Classes on Wed and Fri. Previously during exams period he followed me to Subang just to accompany me to take my exams. T_T I haz me great bf.)

ANYHOO, he was waiting for me at McDs and we decided that today we should go for a treat, in one of the Bangsar restaurants. Which was..Antipodean. The place where everybody goes to have legit breakfast, all day err day. HAHA.

This is the "famous" Big Breakfast at Antipodean. Ridiculously huge portion. And I am ridiculously in love with the mushrooms. This is what Panda had.

I just had to go anti-mainstream and ordered the Mushroom Spinach Carbonara. It'd be great if they never added the cream cheese. It sort of tasted hot and cold. ._. Tastes..odd. It was fine in the beginning, again, I loved the mushrooms, even the spinach. Just not the cream cheese. And the sauce wasn't exactly my favourite type of Carbonara texture.

Before all you foodies go and pluck your own hair and say things like "WHAT? NO! WHY WOULD YOU ORDER THE CARBONARA?! IT'S NOT THEIR SIGNATURE DISH". Well I have this tiny mission to try out every single Carbonara available in the Klang Valley. So you can now shut up. I was already wallowing in my own misery poking in Panda's mushroom from his dish. The waitress was so sweet I can die. She ask me if it tasted awful, and I just smiled bashfully and said "It was rather filling for me". Which wasn't answering the question if you ask me.

AND at the end of the day we settled for food from the Ramadan Bazaar near my house. No pics. Don't need pics.

Now, excuse me while I head on to do some blogilates and try to delude myself that my fat is melting off.

Till the next time. ;)

17.07.2013

I just can't come up with a better post title than the date. So the date it is then, unless I have something more to say. Hello again, I wanted to blog like two days ago but am too old and weary to do so. I'm 19. That is ancient in teenage years. Imagine, when I round off my age it'll be 20. Like wth. *sobs*

Anyhoo, as most of my friends would know, I started working at Typo on Tuesday. Not bad, I get to indulge in pretty stationeries and home deco items and I am 90% sure that most of my salary would end up in the Typo cash registers. *grin*

Here's the starter kit. So hipster. LOL.

I already done some major damages to my purse even before I started work. Tragic right? T_T
Here's a pic of my Cotton On haul:

I have been dying for a pair of overalls. I just love it. It's so comfy to wear. It's like reminiscing my childhood years. I practically lived in overalls when I was a kid. The only reason why my mom banned me from it was because of the fact that I always dirty the straps when I go to the loo. No further details. Use your imaginations. Lol.

What else..ah..French lessons. I started French lessons on the 10th of this month. So happy can die. I've always loved languages and now finally I can learn a whole new language. Mad love. I'm sure most of my twitter followers have already seen the endless "I AM GOING TO FRENCH CLASS. YAY!" spams. Hiak.

And here's a selca. For my first day of work.

Till the next time. ;)

Blog?

Before you continue reading this post, you should know that this is a guide solely for lazy people. Heck, I don't even think it's a guide. It's just my experience throughout my "years of blogging". I don't even consider myself as a blogger, not even close. To me a blogger is someone dedicated to updating their lives on, well, their blog, and somehow, sadly, I can barely stick to the routine I set for myself to update my blog. It just doesn't work that way..with me.

Let's see. You start a blog because you have something to say, or you have something that you are good at. Like
Fashion bloggers, pretty people with pretty clothes and lots of ideas on how to make the most out of one piece of clothing.
Beauty Bloggers, like Michelle Phan or essiebutton, with lots of input and expertise in make up and all things that brings out the greater beauty in mankind.
Food bloggers with their endless pics and impeccable descriptions of mouthwatering dishes, luring hungry readers to hunt them down and stab them for the temptation and
And the list goes on...
.
.
.
.
Which leaves people like..me.
Let's see, I don't have a legit pro camera, but I guess I can live with the iPhone camera for awhile longer before I can FINALLY get a legit camera, sans the pro. Because I not pro. Full Stop.
I don't have a stand out style. Well to sum it up I feel like I have no style. I like street clothes though, have been trying for AGES to blend into the girly category and that just doesn't stick for me. Now don't get me wrong, I don't have this "Anti-Skirt" thing going on, I just prefer more, well, not the flowery lacey type of stuff. BUT I HAVE MADE A GREAT IMPROVEMENT OKAY, I got..lacey clothes. Fine, CLOTHE. ONE PIECE.
I don't like to mention my entire life in my blog. I just don't see the need to. End of story.
Food-wise, anything that can get me to have a second time then I love. I am this idiot who just eats anything that's edible with taste that my tastebuds like. I have no idea how to tell taste apart. When I like it, I like it. No whys and hows.
Lastly, I guess I can say I am one of the least confident people around. I just can't take pretty pictures like anyone else. A "pretty picture" day pretty much come once in a blue moon. If that even exists.

So, you might be asking, why on earth are you typing this post then?! I guess I just want to have a place where I can SAY something. Or rather have readers ask me about stuff then I can answer. Till then I'll be here monologuing about random stuffs. So don't bother asking me what the genre of my blog is. Truth is, there's just no particular one.

Okay if it interests you I DO have a previous blog, pmw-pinkblack-love.blogspot.com
I've had that blog since I was 13, so no judging the funny blog name. LOL.

Till the next time. ;)
